Recall supporters
The recall effort began following the removal of Thomas J. Roesman from his position as principal of Hanford High School. Roesman was charged with immoral and unprofessional conduct, and his teaching certificate was revoked by the Kings County Board of Education, on which Davidson served as the ex-officio secretary.[1]
Recall opponents
Davidson's supporters alleged that the recall effort was retaliation for Roesman losing his teaching certificate.[1]
