I am a retired journalist and chef, previous co-owner of a 15-year successful catering company in Chicago. I have been active in

working on campaigns since 1980. I was president of my condo board 5

years overseeing a 36-unit building.
  • I care about keeping the local rural charm of Van Buren County, want to work to develop more affordable housing in the area, expand services for Seniors, Veterans and families who are underserved. I also want to see the county move more in a direction of renewable energy.
  • I want to encourage gun owners to learn how to responsibly store and use their guns and want to encourage law enforcement to enforce Red Gun Laws.
  • I want to work to prevent the overdevelopment of agricultural and natural lands.
Land preservation, affordable mental health, clean air and water.
Michelle Obama. She is fierce, fair, outspoken and brilliant.
I care, I know how to troubleshoot and find solutions to problems, I believe in consensus and I don’t suffer fools gladly.
To do the research on issues in order to come up with viable solutions.
She didn’t back down and found out how to solve problems using the best information she could find.
A clerk in the fabric department of a discount store.
The last one that made me cry. I love any book that touches my heart.
Keeping my head above water as a small business owner.
