Nancy E. Gordon was a district court judge for the 14th Judicial District Court, serving Durham County of North Carolina.[1] She was elected to the court in 2006 and again in 2010 to another four-year term that expired in 2014. Gordon was defeated in her bid for re-election to the in 2014.[2]

Education

Gordon received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1976 and her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1979.[1][3]

Primary: She was successful in the primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 45.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Aminah Thompson and Fred Battaglia, Jr..
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 46.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Fred Battaglia, Jr. [2][4][5] 

Judicial performance evaluation

In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[6]
