Nancy Glover was the District 6 representative on the Sumner County Board of Education in Tennessee. She was first elected to the board in 2012 and served until September 20, 2016.[1]

Glover sought another term in the general election on August 4, 2016.[2] She lost the election.[3]

Glover worked as an educator for more than 30 years. She spent 25 of those years serving Sumner County Schools. Glover earned a bachelor's degree in education from Libscomb University, a master's degree in elementary education from Austin Peay State University, and a doctorate in educational administration from Tennessee State University.[1]

Five of the 11 seats on the Sumner County Schools Board of Education were up for by-district general election on August 4, 2016.[4] In their bids for re-election, incumbents Tim Brewer, Ted Wise, and Glen Gregory ran unopposed and won re-election to the District 2, 8, and 10 seats, respectively. Sarah Andrews also ran unopposed and won the District 4 seat that was left open when incumbent Beth Cox did not file to run to retain her seat. In District 6, incumbent Nancy Glover faced challengers Jim Hawkins and Rachel Souliere. Hawkins was elected to the seat.[2][5][3]
