Nancy Michael
Nancy Michael was a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing the 44th District from 2008-2010. She was the Assistant Majority Whip.
Michael worked as a Licensed Agent/Customer Service Representative. She previously was a Payroll Clerk in the Indiana Department of Corrections, Putnamville in 1986, and Payroll/Purchasing Clerk with the Office of Indiana State Auditor from 1983-1986.
Prior to her election to the House, she served as Mayor of Greencastle from 1996-2007, served on the Putnam County Council from 1991-1995 and was County Clerk with Putnam Circuit Court from 1987-1990.
She is a member of the Greencastle Christian Church and Greencastle Rotary Club.[1]

2010
Michael lost her bid for re-election to the 44th District seat against Republican candidate James Baird by a margin of 9,668 to 7,322. Libertarian candidate Dennis Beatty came in third with 697 votes.[2] The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
Michael ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 4th and received 2,022 votes.[3]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Democrat Nancy Michael won re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives District 44 receiving 12,451 votes, ahead of Republican Amos P. Thomas (11,295 votes), and Libertarian Darrell Goldman (765 votes).[4]
