Nancy Phelps is a judge on the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.[1] She first came to the bench in 1999.[2][3] Phelps ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[4][5]

Phelps ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 22.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Phyllis Balzer Beardmore, Rose Brooks, Mike Jacobs (Maryland), Michael J. Ragland, Sr., Alan Rzepkowski, Valerie Vollmers, and incumbent Judge Judith L. Duckett. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats. 
General: She faced Alan Rzepkowski, Nancy B. Hirshman, and incumbent Judge Judith L. Duckett in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 28.9 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats. [4][6] 

2010

Phelps was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County along with Judith L. Duckett and Gordon Witherspoon, in the general election on November 2, 2010. She received 27.77% of the vote.[7]
