Nancy Pinkin
Nancy Pinkin (Democratic Party) was a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing District 18. She assumed office in 2014. She left office on December 31, 2020.
Pinkin (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the New Jersey General Assembly to represent District 18. She won in the general election on November 5, 2019.
Pinkin left office in December 2020 after being elected as Middlesex County Clerk.[1]
Biography
Pinkin earned her A.A.S. in applied science from Middlesex County College, her B.S. from Rutgers University, and her M.P.A. in public administration/health administration from New York University. Her professional experience includes working as health consultant at Pinkin Associates, Inc. She also served on the East Brunswick Township Council from 2005 to 2014.[2]

2017
General election
Elections for the New Jersey General Assembly took place in 2017. All 80 seats were up for election. State assembly members are elected to two-year terms. The general election took place on November 7, 2017. A primary election took place on June 6, 2017. The filing deadline for the primary election was April 3, 2017.[3] Legislative districts in the New Jersey General Assembly are multi-member districts, with two representatives in each district. In Democratic and Republican primary elections, the top two candidates move forward to the general election, and the top two candidates in the general election are declared the winners.[4] Incumbent Nancy Pinkin (D) and incumbent Robert Karabinchak (D) defeated April Bengivenga (R), Zhiyu Hu (R), and Sean A. Stratton (Green) in the New Jersey General Assembly District 18 general election.[5][6]

2015
Elections for the New Jersey General Assembly took place in 2015. A primary election was held on June 2, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 30, 2015.[10] Since the general assembly uses multi-member districts, the top two candidates from each party in the primaries advanced to the general election. Incumbent Nancy Pinkin and incumbent Patrick Diegnan, Jr. were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Synnove Bakke and Teresa Rose Hutchison were bracketed together and were unopposed in the Republican primary. Pinkin and Diegnan defeated Bakke and Hutchison in the general election.[11][12][13][14][15]
2013
Pinkin won election in the 2013 election for New Jersey General Assembly District 18. Pinkin was unopposed in the June 4 Democratic primary. She and incumbent Patrick Diegnan, Jr. (D) defeated Robert A. Bengivenga (R), Lisa Goldhamer (R), and Sheila Angalet (UWS) in the general election, which took place on November 5, 2013.[16][17][18][19]
