2018

The following issues were listed on Rotering's campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • Affordable Child Care: As a working mom of four boys, Nancy knows from experience the critical impact affordable, accessible child care and parental leave can have on working parents and their families. Productivity improves, children’s developmental needs are met and the needs of our current and future workforce are addressed when quality child care is made available.
  • Choice: Nancy believes that a woman’s medical decisions are between her, her family and her physician, with no interference from politicians or employers. All medical options must be available to women and their doctors to ensure the best possible health care outcome.
  • Environment: A veteran environmental advocate, Nancy recognizes that climate change represents one of the greatest economic and security threats facing the world today.
  • Health Care: For decades, Nancy has prioritized accessible quality, affordable health care for all, advocating professionally and personally. As the mother of a son with Type 1 diabetes, she recognizes the challenges many parents of children with chronic conditions face. Nancy strongly supports provisions in the Affordable Care Act that prevent insurers from withholding health insurance from those with preexisting conditions and allow children to remain on their parents’ insurance plans until age 26.
  • Immigration: Comprehensive immigration reform that supports our economic goals and reflects our values as both a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants is long overdue. The United States is the great nation that it is because of the generations of immigrants who have strengthened our country and contributed to our economy. Our future depends on an immigration system that reflects our values and meets America’s needs.
