Nancy S. Waites

Nancy S. Waites was an associate judge on the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. She was appointed on January 18, 2005.[1][2]
Waites was reappointed for a four-year term in 2011 and again in 2015.[3][4]
Waites retired from the court on December 31, 2017.[5]
Elections
2012
Waites ran for election to a newly-created judgeship on the 19th Circuit Court, 3rd Subcircuit. She was defeated by Thomas M. Schippers on November 6, 2012, receiving 48.9 percent of the vote. She was unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[6][7][8]

Education
Waites received her undergraduate degree from DePaul University in 1975 and her J.D. from John Marshall Law School in 1986.[2]
Career
Waites has worked as a private practice attorney, in the Lake County State's Attorney's Office, and in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. She was appointed associate circuit court judge in 2005.[2]
