Nancy Sullivan is a former Democratic member of the Maine State Senate, representing District 4 from 2004 to 2012. Before being a Senator, Sullivan served in the Maine House of Representatives from 1998 to 2004. Sullivan was also an elected school board member for the Biddleford School Board from 1991 to 1993. Sullivan ran in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 137.

Sullivan earned her Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Southern Maine in 1971. In addition to being a Senator, Sullivan is a teacher in Maine's public schools.

Sullivan ran in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 137. Sullivan lost to incumbent Alan Casavant in the Democratic primary on June 12, 2012. William Guay ran unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Sullivan ran for re-election to the 4th District Seat in 2010. She had no primary opposition. Owen Bruce Pickus ran for the seat on the Republican ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[3]
