Nancy V. Alquist is a federal bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of Maryland. She joined the court on September 20, 2004, and is serving as chief judge of the district. Her current term on the court will expire on September 19, 2032.[1][2]

Education

Alquist received an undergraduate degree from The University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Temple University.[3]

Career

Judge Alquist began in the litigation department of Philadephia's Clark, Ladner, Fortenbaugh & Young. Later in Chicago, she became a partner of Winston and Strawn. In the Baltimore/Washington DC office of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, she became a partner. Throughout her career, she has worked throughout the United States in the federal courts system.[4]
