Nandita Berry
Nandita Berry is the former Republican Secretary of State of Texas. She took office on January 7, 2014. She was appointed to the statewide office by Governor Rick Perry (R) on December 19, 2013. She replaced John Steen, who retired in order to return to private law practice.[1] Berry served in office until her replacement by Carlos H. Cascos on March 7, 2015.[2]
Biography
Berry worked as senior counsel for Locke Lord LLP prior to her appointment. She was previously the vice chair of the University of Houston Board of Regents and a board member with Houston Zoo, Inc.[3]
