Nandor J. Vadas was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He has served in this position since his appointment on November 5, 2009, and his last term expired on November 4, 2017.[1]

Early life and education

Judge Vadas earned his B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1974, and his J.D. from the University of California at Hastings in 1978.[1]

Professional Career

Judge Vadas started his career in 1978 in private practice. In 1983, he became a Deputy District Attorney for the City and Count of San Francisco, until 1989. He then became an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California for 10 years. In 1999, he became the Deputy District Attorney in Humbolt County, CA. In 2004, he started as a part-time Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He was moved to full time in 2009.[1]
