Naseeruddin Mohammad is a resident of Edison Township, New Jersey. Mohammad earned a master's degree in computer science from Osmania University in India. He is employed as the director of information technology strategy and architecture at a Fortune 25 corporation. Mohammad also coaches youth soccer as part of the Edison United Soccer Association.[1]

Naseeruddin Mohammad lost to incumbents Jingwei Shi and Frank Heelan and fellow newcomer Beth Moroney for the three at-large seats in the general election on April 23, 2014. Shi, Heelan and Shivi Prasad-Madhukar campaigned as one slate and Moroney, Kiel Thoms and Chang-Hui Shen campaigned as a separate "Team E3" slate.[2][3]

I want to use my experience and values I grew up [with] and put Edison on the map as an education-first township. [...] Our district spends 0.5 percent on teacher professional development. Teachers are the foundation of our education. If our teachers are prepared [...] they can prepare our children to thrive and become future leaders.[5]
