Nashawn Vazquez was born in Paterson, New Jersey. They quickly found himself in the hands of the foster care system of New Jersey, where they learned the importance of family and community. During their adolescence, Nashawn excelled in academics and extracurriculars including track and field, cross country, indoor track and the Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps. After years of involvement in these activities, Nashawn was able to master the ideas surrounding team-work, and leadership. They took all of the knowledge and experience from his community interactions and has been working in property management for the past few years where he has proven themself capable of understanding the needs of those without a voice. Nashawn Vazquez plans to be that voice.
  • In the sense of community awareness, the needs of a few are the needs of all.
  • In the sense of unity and cooperation, we must work to understand one another and seek similarities over differences.
  • Our youth must be of upmost importance, considering the idea that the youth are our future. We must improve education, healthcare, and community services to better support our youth and encourage success in adulthood.
