Nasif Majeed
Nasif Majeed (Democratic Party) is a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 99. He assumed office on January 1, 2019. His current term ends on January 1, 2027.
Majeed (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 99. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Majeed earned his A.A. in Restaurant Management from the University of Florida in 1979, his B.S. in business administration from North Carolina A&T State University in 1968, and his M.S. in Agricultural Education (specializing in animal science) at North Carolina A&T State University in 1979. His professional experience includes working as a pilot for Piedmont Airlines (now US Airways), as the owner of a Burger King franchise, for the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a Clinical Chaplain for fourteen years, as a managing partner of Metro-Meck Land Development Company and a custom jewelry maker. Majeed served in the U.S. Air Force for five years as a Captain and Aircraft Commander of a B-52 Bomber.[1]
Majeed served on the Charlotte City Council for eight years.[1]
