|With a commitment to service, Natalia Allen served two years with AmeriCorps, City Year Miami and AmeriCorps VISTA, where she developed a financial literacy program for first generation and low-income students and their families at St. Thomas University.
In my free time I enjoy volunteering with Sierra Club, “Inspiring Connections Outdoors.”
I was also appointed by the City of Sunrise Mayor to the Education Advisory Board. I’ve been a strong advocate for strengthening our public schools and building capacity in our communities.- Education - Providing equitable and inclusive classrooms for all, and ensuring our students graduate ready to enter the labor force or continue their education, with a focus on civics, college and career readiness curriculum.
- Economy - Ensuring all people have access to financial institutions and services, and support for small businesses.
- Healthcare - expanding Medicaid and providing a wholistic approach to healthcare that includes coverage for mental and behavioral health issues.
