In my free time I enjoy volunteering with Sierra Club, “Inspiring Connections Outdoors.”

I was also appointed by the City of Sunrise Mayor to the Education Advisory Board. I’ve been a strong advocate for strengthening our public schools and building capacity in our communities.
  • Education - Providing equitable and inclusive classrooms for all, and ensuring our students graduate ready to enter the labor force or continue their education, with a focus on civics, college and career readiness curriculum.
  • Economy - Ensuring all people have access to financial institutions and services, and support for small businesses.
  • Healthcare - expanding Medicaid and providing a wholistic approach to healthcare that includes coverage for mental and behavioral health issues.
Natalia Allen is passionate about including the community when it comes to addressing public policy. Natalia Allen is passionate about public policy that is addressing gun violence, education reform, healthcare and protecting our environment.
The first historical event that happened in my lifetime was the September 11th attack. My father and I watched the news every morning before heading to school, and I recall being in complete disbelief and not able to move from the living room, with my eyes glued to the television. Early news reports kept replaying the video of the planes crashing into the twin towers, and eventually I went to school. Upon my arrival to school, teachers were addressing September 11th and local news reporter came to our school to interview the students, including myself. I was 11 years old.
My very first job was with the local government as a lifeguard for our public park systems in Springfield, Missouri. The job was seasonal during the summer.
The United States has several pressing challenges as a nation, Natalia Allen believes political polarization may just be one of the greatest challenges we face as we need to come together to successfully implement public policy for our country. The government works for the people and we all need to be civically engaged.
