My name is Natalie Jackson. I'm a mother, a navy veteran, a small business owner, and a civil rights attorney, who co-represented the families of Trayvon Martin, Breonna Taylor, and Andre Hill. I was born and raised in Central Florida by my parents, who were public school teachers, foster parents, ministers, and community organizers.

I'm running for Congress because on January 6, 2021, I was appalled by the tribalism and separatism that corrupt and selfish politicians orchestrated to undermine our democracy so that they could maintain power. America is at a precipice, and this is not the time for politics and business as usual. The cult of personalities in politics needs to end. No one person is going to save us. But working together we can save our Union. The fight for economic and social equality requires us to put forth inclusive national policies and laws.

At this moment in time, we need proven servant-leaders, like me, who aren't afraid to have tough conversations, to put bold ideas into action, and who understand that public service isn't about personal ambition or selfish gain; it's about working together and fighting for something greater than ourselves...a safe, healthy, prosperous, and inclusive America.

In 1967, MLK, Jr. asked the question, where do we go from here: community or chaos? I'm running for Congress because we owe it to our children and future generations to choose COMMUNITY.
  • As a civil rights attorney, I have fought for the victims of corporate and governmental abuse. I've been able to obtain monetary damages for my clients and substantial policy and law changes, like in the Pine Hills Barbershop Raids, where I was able to overcome qualified immunity and help end cross-agency sting operations to protect black-owned businesses from illegal raids in Orlando and across the state. In Congress, I will work to build bridges, but I won't be afraid to take on the big fights.
  • As a 22-year-old single mother when I was in college, I struggled with making a livable wage, obtaining affordable housing, paying for healthcare, and getting pre-kindergarten schooling for my son. In Congress, I will stand for the working class, the single parent, the elderly, and the children. I will work to make sure that Congress works for everyone, not just the rich.
  • As a former Naval Intelligence Officer and Middle East Analyst, I've worked on the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. In Congress, I will use my military and international affairs knowledge to fight to ensure that America's interests are protected.
I am passionate about economic equality, affordable housing and healthcare, justice and education reform, and human rights.
Martin Luther King, Jr. because he led with love.
The first historical event that I can remember is Judge Sandra Day O'Connor being the first woman to sit on the Supreme Court. I was in middle school. Today, I anxiously await the appointment of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. She will be the first black woman on the Supreme Court.
My first job was working as a cashier at the Winn-Dixie grocery store in Sanford, FL. I was 16-years old and I worked there until I graduated from high school and enlisted in the navy.
Economic and social equality, affordable healthcare, climate change, and the tech divide.
No. The current two-year structure means that representatives are campaigning more than working.
Yes. The goal is getting things done; not arguing for argument's sake.
