I have been married for 36 years and the father of two sons. Over 30 years of experience in electrical and construction trades. I have been an educator at the College of Southern Idaho and Continuing Education for journeyman electricians across SE Idaho. As an elected union officer and community volunteer, I believe that leadership begins with service. This has been my work ethic to create a better life for all I work alongside. I’ll work on behalf of all Idahoans because I believe that the values of hard work and dignity are universal.

I believe in servant leadership, a true leader leads by example. You cannot set expectations of others that you do not already exceed yourself. I am loyal, friendly, and willing to converse with others about our views without judgment while seeking to find our commonalities.
Represent your district with a deep knowledge of the needs and wants of your constituents while balancing the concerns and needs of the State of Idaho. This requires remaining in contact with the citizens of your district and listening to their issues to be able to appropriately address their concerns.
We must leave a better future than that which we have received. I want to be remembered for working to leave our local, state, national, and world conditions better than what I have lived.
Any book by Mark Twain

2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke. The story is about human and societal evolution and the possibilities of human successes through a combination of science and non-denominational spirituality.

Montgomery Scott from Star Trek. The ultimate tradesman, his deep understanding of technology allowed him to work under pressure to fix what was broken to save his shipmates.
The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkle
I believe that legislators should have experience in working with the Legislature. Advocating issues, testifying in committees, and speaking with individual legislators on important issues. I have participated in all of these and have been appointed to sit temporarily as a State Representative in 2022.
It is not just beneficial it is necessary. Only through building relationships cross-party can the issues of public policy be effectively addressed.
An independent bi-partisan commission with public input works well in Idaho

A single mother of three working two jobs. Her oldest daughter was a caregiver for the younger two sons while the mother worked. I met her while volunteering with the Red Cross replacing outdated or non-functioning smoke detectors. The apartment she was renting had water damage, and the smoke detectors did not work. She spoke about her struggles working two jobs at less than a living wage. The condition of her apartment she felt was out of her control or influence. I was deeply moved by her struggles, and her story has stuck with me since that day. I would like to see our society create an environment that will make a life for her and others like her a little easier to achieve the American Dream.
Only to limit the time that emergency powers are enacted by the Governor.
I believe that collaboration is a better operative term. While compromise is, at times, necessary, working together on issues of public policy is much more effective.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Idaho

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
