I'm an Austin resident with over 13 years of city living under my belt. I'm passionate about making a positive impact in our community. With a background in business and public service, I'm all in for representing our district in the Texas House of Representatives. My goal is to collaborate with community leaders and residents to keep our district thriving and a fantastic place to live, work, and raise a family.
I believe our district deserves a representative who truly listens and acts in your best interests. If elected, I promise to be a strong voice for our community, working tirelessly to ensure our concerns are heard and addressed in the Texas House. Let's make positive changes together!
- My primary focus centers on ending the influence of lobbyists to ensure elected representatives truly represent the interests of their constituents, rather than being swayed by big corporations. Additionally, I am committed to making healthcare more affordable for everyone and addressing the challenges within our immigration system with a fair and compassionate approach. These priorities reflect my belief in creating a more just and equitable society for all, and I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to that vision through public service.
- I believe we need to raise the minimum age to buy a rifle from 18 to 21 to promote responsible gun ownership. Additionally, I'm passionate about bringing reproductive rights back to Texas, ensuring that individuals have the autonomy to make decisions about their own bodies. These are critical issues that I believe will make our society more just and equal for everyone. I'm excited about the chance to make a difference in these areas and more if given the opportunity to serve.
- I am committed to improving education and addressing the impact of inflation, especially for our retirees on fixed incomes. To enhance education, I advocate for increased funding, teacher support, and technology integration in our schools. Additionally, to combat inflation, particularly concerning for retirees, I believe in exploring policies that protect their fixed incomes, such as ensuring stable property tax rates and advocating for measures that mitigate the effects of rising costs on essential goods and services. Together, we can create an environment where education flourishes, and retirees can enjoy financial stability despite economic challenges.
I'm passionate about reducing the sway lobbyists have in our politics. Let's bring transparency, ethics, and some reasonable limits on campaign contributions, so our elected officials truly represent us.
Affordable Healthcare for Everyone:
Healthcare shouldn't break the bank. I'm all about figuring out how we can make it more affordable and accessible. It's a basic right, and I want to make sure everyone in our community can access quality healthcare without going broke.
Compassionate Immigration Reform:
Immigration is personal to me. I believe in a system that treats people with fairness and compassion, one that respects the dignity of individuals, keeps families together, and aligns with the values we all While I don't aim to emulate any specific person, I draw inspiration from leaders who prioritize the needs of their constituents and work tirelessly to improve the lives of others. It's the collective qualities of authenticity, empathy, and a strong work ethic that I aspire to embody in my own approach to public service.
A good elected official is like a good neighbor - honest, open, and always there for you. They listen when you've got something to say and act on it promptly. Being adaptable is crucial; it's like rolling with the punches. They're not just making decisions; they're working with everyone to get things done. Heart is a big part of it too - understanding what people are going through and crafting policies that really make a difference. Above all, they're committed to making our community a better place for all of us, no matter what challenges come our way.
I'm all about listening, collaborating, and genuinely wanting to make things better for the folks in our community. My commitment to ending lobbyist influence, making healthcare more affordable, and improving education isn't just talk; it's rooted in a real passion for positive change. That's the kind of patient and hardworking approach I think will make a difference.

Accessibility:
Being accessible and approachable to constituents, fostering a sense of connection and trust between the elected official and the community. I'm not too concerned about leaving a legacy. All I want is to make positive changes, whether that's behind the scenes or in the spotlight. If I can contribute to creating a better community and leave a positive impact without necessarily leaving a legacy, that would be more than enough for me. It's about the work and the positive changes we can make together, not necessarily about how history remembers me.
I was just a little one when the Berlin Wall fell, only 6 years old at the time. While I may not have fully grasped the significance of the event at that age, it's fascinating to reflect on historical moments that shaped the world around us.
My first job was at a movie theater where I started as a team member. I worked my way up to assistant manager and held the position for a solid 2 1/2 years. It was a great experience, and I learned a lot about teamwork, customer service, and the importance of a well-run operation.
Choosing just one favorite book is a tough call for me, as there are so many fantastic ones out there. However, one of my more recent favorites is "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir. The blend of science fiction, gripping storytelling, and the protagonist's resilience really struck a chord with me. It's a thrilling and thought-provoking read that kept me hooked from start to finish.
I would choose someone with the ability to teleport, as I have a deep passion for exploring new places and experiencing different cultures.

One significant struggle in my life has been navigating the rising costs of housing and healthcare. These challenges hit close to home, impacting not only my personal finances but also highlighting broader issues that many individuals and families in our community face. It's these firsthand experiences that fuel my commitment to addressing these pressing concerns and finding solutions that make essential aspects of life more affordable and accessible for everyone.
And if you're looking for a more lighthearted struggle, I'd have to say it's saying no to desserts because, truth be told, I have a big sweet tooth!
I think the governor and state legislature should be like good teammates. They need to communicate openly, share common goals, and be ready to roll up their sleeves and work together. It's about putting aside differences, finding common ground, and focusing on what's best for the people. That's the kind of relationship I'd want to see – one built on respect, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to making things better for everyone in our state.
Looking ahead to the next decade, our state is gearing up for some serious challenges. We need to ensure affordable and accessible healthcare, tackle the impacts of climate change, boost our educational system, manage sustainable population growth, improve infrastructure, and address the pressing issue of affordable housing.
I think effective state legislators can come from all walks of life. Sure, experience can be helpful, but it's not the only thing that matters. We need a diverse group of folks who understand the real struggles people face every day. Fresh ideas and different perspectives – that's what can make our government truly work for everyone. So, no, you don't need a long political resume to make a positive impact in our state.
Building relationships with other legislators is crucial for effective governance. It's about collaboration and finding common ground to get things done for the people we represent. By fostering positive relationships, we can work together to tackle challenges, share ideas, and create policies that genuinely benefit our communities. Strong legislative relationships also enable a more efficient and productive legislative process, contributing to the overall well-being of our state. It's all about teamwork and making sure we're putting the needs of the people first.
I've got a lot of respect for various legislators, both past and present. But honestly, I'm not looking to be a copycat of anyone. Everyone's got their own style, and I want to bring my authentic self to the table.
I don't know at this moment. My focus is on the role I'm currently pursuing, and I want to give my best to serve the community. The future is uncertain, and my decisions will be guided by a genuine commitment to making a positive impact wherever I believe I can be most effective in representing the interests of the people.
I'm just getting started, and I haven't had the chance to hear all the incredible stories from folks in the district. I'm itching to connect with everyone and learn about the experiences that make our community so special.
If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. If life gives you melons, you might be dyslexic
While emergency powers are crucial for swift responses to crises, oversight by the legislature is essential to ensure a balance of power and prevent potential misuse. Granting emergency powers temporarily, with clear parameters and regular reviews by the legislature, allows for a rapid response while maintaining accountability. Striking the right balance is key to upholding democratic principles and protecting the interests of the people during times of crisis.
The first bill I would introduce aligns with my core priorities. It's a comprehensive campaign finance reform initiative aimed at ending the influence of lobbyists, promoting transparency in political contributions, and ensuring elected officials prioritize constituents over corporate interests. This bill will also address healthcare affordability, support retired state employees, and implement measures to enhance education. By tackling these key issues simultaneously, we can lay a strong foundation for a more equitable and responsive government.
I am particularly interested in committees that align with the key issues facing our community. Committees focusing on healthcare, education, and small business development resonate with my background and passions. Additionally, committees addressing immigration reform and government transparency are of great interest to me. My goal is to actively contribute to discussions and initiatives that directly impact the well-being and prosperity of our constituents.
I strongly believe in financial transparency and government accountability as fundamental pillars of good governance. Transparency builds trust between the government and its citizens, fostering an open dialogue and ensuring that taxpayers understand how their money is being spent. As an elected official, I am committed to implementing measures that enhance financial transparency, such as accessible budget information and clear reporting mechanisms.
Government accountability is equally crucial. Elected officials should be answerable to the public, and mechanisms must be in place to hold them responsible for their actions. I support robust oversight, ethical conduct, and accountability measures to ensure that the public interest is always prioritized. Upholding these principles not only strengthens our democratic institutions but also promotes a more accountable and responsive government that serves the needs of the people.
