Nathan Houdek is the Wisconsin Commissioner of Insurance. He assumed office on January 3, 2022. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Houdek was appointed as commissioner by Governor Tony Evers (D) in January 2022, to replace former commissioner Mark Afable.[1] He was reappointed on January 9, 2023.[2]
Biography
Nathan Houdek earned a B.A. in political science and philosophy and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Houdek's career experience includes working as a deputy commissioner with the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance, a principal with Michael Best Strategies, and as chief of staff to former Wisconsin State Senate Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling (D).[3]
