Nathan Johnson was a candidate for vice president in 2016. Nathan Johnson ran on the ticket with Evan McMullin as the presidential nominee.[1] On September 7, 2016, McMullin's campaign stated in a press release that Johnson was a placeholder candidate (for ballot access purposes) and that McMullin intended to announce an official vice presidential pick later. On October 6, 2016, McMullin announced Mindy Finn as his running mate. His campaign also said that it intended to issue legal challenges in order to replace Johnson's name with Finn's on state ballots.[1][2][3]
