Biography

Nathan Martin was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Martin earned an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from Lee University in May 2003 and July 2004, respectively. His professional experience includes working as a sales executive and consultant. Martin served in the United States Army from 2001 to 2015.[1]

I am an Iraq Veteran, small business owner, and Shelby City Councilman. I have been married for almost 18 years to Mandi and have seven children and three foster children. I have a Masters in Teaching History and Government. I am a strong fiscal and social conservative dedicated to helping my constituents with an attitude of servant leadership.
  • Service: We need servant leadership in government and governance.
  • Family: We need to invest and protect our basic institutions and life.
  • Community: Home rule and local control are where governance is done best.
I am pro life without exception. I believe in a very limited government and where governance is best is local. I believe the American Dream is unlocked when we help our citizens reach their fullest potential in education and remove barriers to their success.
I love Ronald Reagan and think he not only had the right policy but a way to communicate intricate policy easily.

There was one gentlemen, who, after hearing me speak gave me a donation and it was his first political donation ever. Because he believed in what we were wanting to accomplish. It meant a lot to see it resonate so deeply.
