Nathan "Tod" Young is a judge of the Ninth Judicial District in Nevada. He was appointed on December 21, 2012, by Governor Brian Sandoval to fill the open seat created when Judge David R. Gamble retired. He took office on February 4, 2013.[1][2] He ran unopposed for re-election in 2014, winning a new term that expires on January 3, 2021.[3][4][5]

Career

Before serving on the district court, Young engaged in private practice in Minden, Nevada. He was admitted to the Nevada bar in 1985, and from February 1994 through March of 1999, Young was managing partner of Beavers and Young, P.C. in Minden, Nevada. Since 1997, Young has also served as an arbitrator in the First, Second and Ninth Judicial Districts.[1]
