About
The National Rifle Association (NRA) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. The NRA describes itself as "America's foremost defender of Second Amendment rights."[1] Some of the NRA's political work is done through lobbying and campaign donations to candidates and ballot measures who support the organization's goals. The NRA's lobbying arm is called the Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA).[2]
