Naz Namazi
Naz Namazi was a 2015 special election Republican candidate for District 37 of the California State Senate.[1]
Biography
Namazi fled from Iran during the 1979 revolution. She earned her B.S. in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine. She studied Art History and Film at Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College. Her professional experience includes working in the fields of real estate, entertainment, securities, finance and healthcare.[2]
Elections
2015
John Moorlach (R) defeated Donald P. Wagner (R) and Naz Namazi (R) in the primary election on March 17.[3][1][4]
The seat was vacant following Mimi Walters' (R) election to Congress.[5]
A special election for the position of California State Senate District 37 was called for May 19. A primary election took place on March 17, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 23, 2015.[6]
