Nederland Marijuana Decriminalization (April 2010)

A Nederland Marijuana Decriminalization measure was on the April 6, 2010 ballot in the city of Nederland, which is in Boulder County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 259 Approveda
  • NO 218[1]

This measure sought to decriminalize the possession of marijuana by people over the age of 21, similar to other decriminalization measures passed.[2] State wide proponents for the end of marijuana prohibition see this vote as further evidence that the people want pot legal. Others see this as just a step as more areas decide to decriminalize pot possession.Voter turnout was high for this vote, showing the importance of the issue to residents.[3]
