Biography

Nena Bailey was born in Griffin, Georgia. She earned a high school diploma from South Side High School. Her career experience includes working in real estate. She has been affiliated with the Indiana Black Expo, Safe Housing and Building Oversight Committee, Fort Wayne Urban League, Realtist Association of Northeast Indiana, and the N.A.A.C.P.[1]

My name is Nena Bailey and I'm running for Allen County Council At Large. I am a wife, mother, advocate, Christian, volunteer, Board member for several organizations and more. I'm running to be a voice for the people. I am running to be a watchdog over County funds. Appropriating funds where needed and redirecting funds that are being wasted. My love for helping others makes me the ideal candidate to represent the citizens of Allen County. I have compassion for our less fortunate and underserved community. I volunteer at the Rescue Mission by giving of time and resources. I want everyone to has equitable access to County resources.
  • Addressing mental health issues with our jail system.
  • Address substance abuse disorder issues within the justice system of Allen County.
  • Being a watchful eye over County funds.
I am passionate about serving the citizens of Allen County. I want to put people first.
I look up to Barack Obama. His leadership was calm, compassionate and inclusive.
That I did it for the love of others.
I remember when Martin Luther King was killed. As a child it was absolutely devastating.
I was a waitress. It only last a few months.
Roots, because it let me know that we will never go back to those days.
