Nestor Montilla
Nestor Montilla, Sr. was a 2014 independent ("Seeking Inclusion") candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of New Jersey.[1] He was defeated by incumbent Bill Pascrell (D) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]
Biography
Montilla earned both his B.A. and his Master of Public Administration from the John Jay College of The City University of New York. He went on to pursue a Ph.D. in political science from the Graduate Center of The City University of New York, though he had not yet earned his degree as of September 2014.[3]
Montilla works as the Director of Corporate and Community Development at the Lehman College of The City University of New York. He has served as chairman of the Dominican American National Roundtable and chairman of media and public relations for the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey.[3]

Montilla ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent New Jersey's 9th District.[1] He lost to incumbent Bill Pascrell (D) in the general election.[2] The general election took place on November 4, 2014.
