Party: Democratic Party
Incumbent: No
Submitted Biography: "I was born and raised in Covina, California, in a proud blue-collar household. My parents, Jack and Victoria Hutchinson, worked hard and lived with integrity — my dad installed window coverings and my mom worked in local factories. They raised my three brothers and me to be honest, tough, and responsible, and those values have guided me throughout my life. Sports played a huge role in my childhood. I played baseball and football at Northview High School, and in 1988 I was drafted in the 11th round by the Atlanta Braves as a catcher. Although a serious shoulder injury ended my career sooner than I hoped, the discipline, teamwork, and resilience I learned on the field shaped the rest of my life. I’m running for Congress because working families deserve leaders who will actually fight for them. In recent years, we’ve seen behavior from Donald Trump that puts ego and division ahead of country — attacking democratic institutions, undermining truth, and pitting Americans against one another. That is weak leadership. We need representatives who will stand up for democracy, protect working people, and put country over party every single time. My background is not that of a career politician. I’ve lived the same ups and downs so many families face, and I know what it means to keep pushing when life changes direction. I’m running to be a strong voice for people who feel overlooked — and to help build a country where hard work, fairness, and dignity still mean something."

Sean Hutchinson (D)
We also have to admit our own party hasn’t always met the moment. Too many politicians, in both parties, focus on politics and personal gain instead of the people they serve.
I’m running to restore leadership that protects democracy, stands up to extremism, and puts working families first.I will fight for your loved one who was diagnosed with dementia. I want to be honest with you: both parties have forgotten how crushing the cost of dementia care is. Memory-care communities often cost $5,000–$7,000 a month, and most families simply don’t have it. No one should have to drain a lifetime of savings just to keep a loved one safe. That’s why I wrote a bill to provide up to $5,000 per month to families facing dementia, so they can afford professional care with dignity. Learn more at HutchinsonForCongress.com.
I will fight relentlessly to restore Roe v. Wade and protect reproductive freedom across America. When fundamental rights are taken away, we cannot stay silent. I will call for massive, peaceful civic action — organizing, voting, marching, and demanding accountability from every level of government — until women’s rights are fully restored. No woman should ever be treated as less than equal in this country, and I will stand shoulder to shoulder with every American who believes bodily autonomy is a basic human right.

General election race ratings
- See also: Race rating definitions and methods
Ballotpedia provides race ratings from four outlets: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and DDHQ/The Hill. Each race rating indicates if one party is perceived to have an advantage in the race and, if so, the degree of advantage:
- Safe and Solid ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge and the race is not competitive.
- Likely ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge, but an upset is possible.
- Lean ratings indicate that one party has a small edge, but the race is competitive.[1]
- Toss-up ratings indicate that neither party has an advantage.
Race ratings are informed by a number of factors, including polling, candidate quality, and election result history in the race's district or state.[2][3][4]
