Submitted Biography:  "I was born and raised in Covina, California, in a proud blue-collar household. My parents, Jack and Victoria Hutchinson, worked hard and lived with integrity — my dad installed window coverings and my mom worked in local factories. They raised my three brothers and me to be honest, tough, and responsible, and those values have guided me throughout my life. Sports played a huge role in my childhood. I played baseball and football at Northview High School, and in 1988 I was drafted in the 11th round by the Atlanta Braves as a catcher. Although a serious shoulder injury ended my career sooner than I hoped, the discipline, teamwork, and resilience I learned on the field shaped the rest of my life. I’m running for Congress because working families deserve leaders who will actually fight for them. In recent years, we’ve seen behavior from Donald Trump that puts ego and division ahead of country — attacking democratic institutions, undermining truth, and pitting Americans against one another. That is weak leadership. We need representatives who will stand up for democracy, protect working people, and put country over party every single time. My background is not that of a career politician. I’ve lived the same ups and downs so many families face, and I know what it means to keep pushing when life changes direction. I’m running to be a strong voice for people who feel overlooked — and to help build a country where hard work, fairness, and dignity still mean something."
