Public safety is essential to having a prosperous economy and important to maintaining a high quality of life. Having risen through the ranks from an LVMPD explorer to Police Sergeant, I understand that crime is a massive contributor to poverty, inequality, and disregard of human rights. As your representative, I will support proposals that give our men and women who protect our fellow Nevadans the tools and resources to keep themselves and our communities safe. Additionally, I support policies that strengthen laws against violent criminals and those who target children and our vulnerable populations.

Every child deserves access to the best education system possible, which sets the foundation of the learning journey. Our current education system ranks at the bottom of almost every metric and does nothing to prepare our children for the real world. The Clark County School District has grown too large, and the school system has been overwhelmed by recent changes. Additionally, we need to provide more school choice opportunities for parents and students who are trapped in failing schools. Your zip code should not determine your access to a quality education.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we saw an economic crisis that left many Nevadans unemployed and caused businesses to permanently close. I strongly believe we need to focus on policies that create an economic environment that fosters job growth, increases wages and innovation to get us back on track. We can achieve our economic comeback without unnecessary government mandates, increased taxes, and overregulation. As your representative, I will be a careful steward of our hard earned - tax dollars and fight for policies that hinder excessive and wasteful spending.
Strong vision to move Nevada forward into a prosperous and peaceful future where people come first. Will Rucker is Effective.

We need more leaders with integrity who won’t compromise for corporate interests that harm our community, who demonstrate character and compassion, and who will stand up for us. Will Rucker is Experienced.

Enough with the ”party-first” politics! We need to get back to doing what’s right for all of us. Will Rucker is Engaged and has the courage to lead.
Having been born and raised in Las Vegas, I have dedicated my life to protecting our communities as a member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. I believe that every individual has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, during the pandemic we saw the majority party infringe on our constitutional rights through blanket mandates that closed our schools and businesses. I support reforms that limit the governor’s emergency powers and places them with the people’s house. As your representative, I will always fight to ensure that our individual liberties are not infringed.
Being married to a nurse has provided me with a unique perspective on the immense challenges our first responders face. I'm the grandson of a teacher, army veteran, and domestic worker, the son of a dad who owned a small business and a mom who worked a traditional job. I know the benefits of hard work, the sacrifice of service, and that our quality of life isn’t guaranteed.

We need to modernize our economy and that can only happen if we modernize our consciousness. I am passionate about creating a social floor that supports all of us without exceeding the bounds of our ecological limits.

As a pastor, I have been with people during their most difficult times of loss and tragedy, and in their greatest moments of celebration like their wedding or birth of a child. As a nonprofit director, I have been the "boots on the ground" in our community, working to improve conditions in every sector from infrastructure to education to healthcare. As a corporate leader, I have had to make tough decisions to ensure viability while also promoting the well-being of my teams. I know what needs to be done and I know how to get it done.
I have the ability to look at all sides of an issue. This allows me to better anticipate unintended consequences. Having been an end user of state law I understand the importance of making sure that there is no ambiguity as it relates to legislative intent.
The core responsibility of an assemblyperson is to represent the people of their district. You are elected to represent their interests, not your own. To do that you need to be a part of your community, talk to your constituents and listed to their concerns.
The first truly historical event that I remember is the shooting of President Ronald Reagan. I was 6 years old.
I was a busboy while in high school for approximately 1 year.
K-12 public education. Our students need better, our students deserve better, and we must demand better. For far too long we have neglected our children’s education, and that is unacceptable. Our children are unprepared for the real world upon graduation, and this must change. By better preparing our students for the workforce we will increase the availability of educated workers in the state, and thereby bring in more businesses and industries to the State of Nevada. With more employment opportunities available we reduce the likelihood our children will end-up in the criminal justice system, and therefore help to reduce crime.
Relationships are beneficial at all levels of government. Our entire political system has grown much too adversarial. Just because you disagree with someone does not mean you can't have a civil conversation with them.
Yes. While I support the ability of the Governor to declare a state of emergency, it MUST be reviewed and authorized by the legislature within a reasonable period of time. I would propose changing current state law to require legislative review and approval of any state of emergency declaration within 14 calendar days. If this does not occur, the state of emergency would automatically end and the could not be reinstituted.
