Improving K-12 Education - I’m a firm believer that every child deserves the opportunity to have a great education. My Filipino mother instilled in me the importance of a high-quality education, hard work, and tenacity, which are values I am passing on to my own daughter. Parents should be empowered to advocate for their children and should be the ultimate decision makers when it comes to where their children attend school. Zip codes should not dictate where a child must go to school.

Nevada's COVID-19 Response - It was great that the pharmaceutical industry was able to respond so quickly with a vaccine option, however I was discouraged that the individual decision on whether to get vaccinated became highly politicized. There was an intolerance to opposing views that developed, whether that meant the individual was pro-vaccination or not. Moving forward, we should respect one another’s choices, and that goes for the business community as well. Businesses should be able to decide what policies and decisions best fit the needs and safety of their employees and patrons.

Public Safety - The bottom line is, we deserve to be safe! Safe in our homes, neighborhoods, businesses, and public places. Our children need to be able to play outside. As a woman, I want to feel secure in going for a walk or run, alone. Neighborhood crime is increasing rapidly. We need to get the women and men of law enforcement the tools and training they need to keep us safe.
Secure elections with voter ID, paper ballots, cleaning up voter rolls, and a forensic audit of the 2020 election for transparency.

Ban corporations, lobbyists, casinos, unions, and PACs from donating to candidates and unduly influencing elected officials.

School vouchers to offset the cost of private schools, home schooling, and force public schools to compete or continue to lose funding.
The issue I am most passionate about by far is education. As the mother to a young daughter, I am concerned and frustrated that Nevada continues to rank either 49th or 50th in the country when it comes to our state's educational system. We need accountability measures in place when it comes to funding education. Let's fund targeted programs and keep them in place long enough so we know whether or not they are actually working. I am also a strong advocate for empowering parents with school choice. Parents are the best advocates for their children and should be able to decide what educational system works best. The Clark County School District also needs to be broken up into small more manageable districts. It is too big to function properly. and our children are suffering as a result.
I am a staunch constitutionalist that believes in free speech, the 2nd amendment, and a limited government. Our politicians have ignored the limits put on them our Constitution and trampled our rights for far way too long. I believe that it’s time for We the People to take our country back, and the best way to accomplish that is strengthening our sovereignty through the state legislature.
“Anatomy of the State” by Murray N. Rothbard. It is a quick read but explains everywhere we went wrong with our current political situation.
Someone that sees the position of a politician as a civic duty, instead of a way to propel themselves or advance their finances.
I am not afraid to stand up or speak out about what I think is right.
An elected official is supposed to represent the demands, needs, and wants of their community. I believe it is their job to uphold the Constitution and all the protections it affords, and that matters of opinions should be voted on by the people through ballot measures only.
It’s usually something by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
