Elections for the office of Nevada State Assembly consisted of a primary election on September 5, 2000, and a general election on November 7, 2000.[1] All 42 seats were up for election.
Qualifications
To be eligible to serve in the Nevada State Assembly, a candidate must be:[2]
- 21 years old at the time of the election
- A citizen resident of the State of Nevada for one year preceding this election
- A resident of the district for a period of 30 days next preceding closing date for filing as a candidate
