New Circuit Court Judge in Minnehaha
October 26, 2010
Minnehaha, South Dakota: Attorney Natalie Damgaard has been chosen to replace Judge Doyle L. Sage when he retires from the South Dakota Second Judicial Circuit in January of 2011. She will serve as a magistrate judge at the Minnehaha Courthouse and her term will last four years.
Damgaard received her law degree from the University of South Dakota Law School. She currently works as an attorney with the firm of Janklow Law Firm in Sioux Falls, SD. Regarding her future judicial post, she said, "I think that as a judge you are there to be a fair and neutral arbitrator and make sure that everyone has a fair experience in the legal system. I think as a judge that's what your job is, and you just apply the facts and the law of South Dakota to arrive at that result."[1]
