The New Hampshire Amend Language in Bill of Rights, Question 6 was on the ballot in New Hampshire on March 12, 1889, as a constitutional convention referral. It was defeated. It proposed making article six of the Bill of Rights non-sectarian in language.[1]

Note: Although this measure gathered more "yes" votes, it did not pass because New Hampshire requires that an amendment receive greater than two-thirds of the vote to be approved.
