New Hampshire Constitutional Convention, Question 2 (1948)
The New Hampshire Constitutional Convention Amendment, also known as Question 2, was on the ballot in New Hampshire on November 2, 1948, as a constitutional convention referral. It was defeated. It proposed to ask the voters every eighth year, beginning in 1954, if they thought a constitutional convention was necessary.[1]

Note: Although this measure gathered more "yes" votes, it did not pass because New Hampshire requires that an amendment receive greater than two-thirds of the vote to be approved.
