New Hampshire Eliminate Power to Extend Legislative Recess Amendment (1984)
The New Hampshire Eliminate Power to Extend Legislative Recess Amendment, also known as Question 9, was on the ballot in New Hampshire on November 6, 1984, as a constitutional convention referral. It was defeated. This amendment proposed to eliminate the power of the governor and the executive council to extend the recess of the legislature without its consent.[1]
