New Hampshire Voters Required to Read and Write English, Question 1 (1903)
The New Hampshire Voters Required to Read and Write English Amendment, also known as Question 1, was on the ballot in New Hampshire on March 10, 1903, as a constitutional convention referral. It was approved. It proposed that voters and candidates for office must be able to read and write in English.[1]
