New Jersey's 13th Congressional District
The 13th Congressional District of New Jersey was a congressional district containing portions of four counties, Essex, Union, Hudson and Middlesex, and 17 municipalities.
Based on the 2010 Census, the 13th District was eliminated prior to the 2012 elections. Most of the territory in this district became part of a new 8th Congressional District.
The final representative of the 13th Congressional District was Albio Sires (D). Sires ran successfully for the 8th Congressional District seat in 2012.

On November 2, 2010, Rep. Albio Sires was re-elected to the United States House for a third term. He defeated Henrietta Dwyer (R), Anthony Zanowic (Independent American), and Maximo Gomez Nacer (Gravity Buoyancy Solution).[1]
