The New Jersey Public Question No. 1 was on the ballot in New Jersey on November 8, 1988, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. The Jobs, Education and Competitiveness Bond Act of 1988 authorized $350 million in bonds for construction and maintenance of buildings at public and private higher education facilities.[1]
