The New Jersey Public Question No. 1 was on the ballot in New Jersey on November 7, 1989, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. The Open Space Preservation Bond Act of 1989 authorized $300 million in bonds for the acquistion of land for recreational and conservational purposes.[1]
