New Jersey Public Question No. 3 (1984)

The New Jersey Public Question No. 3 was on the ballot in New Jersey on November 6, 1984, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment to Article VIII, Section 2 of the New Jersey Constitution allocated the revenues from 2.5 cents per gallon of the motor fuels tax to a special account in the state general fund for 17 years in order to fund work on the transportation system.[1]
