|
The New Jersey Public Question No. 5 was on the ballot in New Jersey on November 3, 1987, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. $10 million in bonds unused after the passage of the New Jersey Public Purposes Buildings Construction Bond Act of 1980 were directed towards the construction and improvement of facilities for the mentally ill. The act originally directed the money towards a loan guarantee fund for the development of nursing homes, which never came to fruition.[1]
