The New Mexico Ballot Proposal: Board of Regents Membership, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 8, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 4, 1986, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The ballot proposal expanded the University of New Mexico Board of Regents from five to seven.[1]
