The New Mexico Ballot Proposal: Deposit of Public Money, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 4, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 4, 1986, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The ballot proposal allowed the state to deposit money in credit unions if it was federally insured.[1]

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT 4: Proposing an amendment to Article 8, Section 4 of the Constitution of New Mexico to allow the deposit of public money in state and federal credit unions to the extent that such deposits are insured by an agency of the Federal Government.[2] |
