The New Mexico Ballot Proposal: Restriction of Bail for the Convicted, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 5, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 8, 1988, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The ballot proposal restricted bail for convicted persons.[1]
