The New Mexico Cabinet Secretary Confirmation Act was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in New Mexico. It was one of five proposed constitutional amendments the New Mexico Constitution that were legislatively referred to the ballot by the New Mexico State Legislature.

The proposed amendment enacted the requirement of confirmation of Cabinet Secretaries at the beginning of each term of a Governor.

Thirteen state senators introduced Senate Joint Resolution 1 (SJR 1) which authorized placing the proposed amendment on the ballot.
