The New Mexico Proposed Amendment, Continuity of Government in Case of Disaster, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 8, was on the 1960 ballot in New Mexico as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The proposed measure allowed for a constitutional amendment that addressed the continuity of government in case of a disaster.[1]
