The New Mexico Proposed Amendment, Four-year Terms for State Executive Officers, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 5, was on the 1948 ballot in New Mexico as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The proposed measure would have allowed for a constitutional amendment that addressed term limits for executive officers.[1]
